Runner took me several tries until I finally hit on a design that I
liked. it's still one of my favorite mechanical designs that I have done.
Originally he was never intended to walk upright as well as on all fours. When we
had trouble getting the character to work right in the backgrounds, we decided that he
would stand up to walk around, and go to all fours to fight and run. I think in
retrospect, it made him even cooler.
