Ink Sketches
I started this in the fall of
2011. I'd done some recent traditional quill pen
illustrations, so I was having fun reconnecting with ink.
I then wound up with some new marker pens and found they were really
loosening up my con sketches, which I had always liked, but felt lacked
some punch.
So, I decided to try something new. The goal: try and do an
ink sketch every week and just see where each takes me. I
approach these as pure practice. These are for fun and an excuse
to try different things. Not every one will turn out, but
that's okay - experimentation can be messy.
Although I'm sure there will be a lot of
Barsoom princesses and
Cave Girl's here, I
decided not to split those up into the older, themed sections. I'd
rather these all live together here as a project.
